07 数词的基本用法

   数词是由两大部分构成的即基数词和序数词，而其他数字表示法如分数、小数等均由这两大部分的不同组合而构成。

一、基数词：表示数目的词是基数词，比如one two three这样

（一）基数词的特点

1、1—12无规律 one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve

2、13—19以后缀-teen结尾  thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen,eighteen, nineteen

3、20—90的整十数都以后缀-ty结尾  twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy,eighty, ninety

4、21—99十位与个位之间要加连字符“—”  twenty-five, sixty-five, ninety-five

5、101—999百位与十位之间通常用and连接  比如325 three hundredand twenty-five

6、1000以上，从后向前，每三位数做一个单位，即thousand, million, billion  比如6275 six thousand two hundred and seven-five

接下来我们来看整位数的表达，这也比较简单啦，当我们要表达一百，一千，一百万甚至十亿的时候，都是在前边加上a/one, 比如

1 100 a/one hundred

2 1,000 a/one thousand

3 1,000,000 a/one million

4 1,000,000,000 a/one billion =a/onebillion =a/one thousand million

（二）基数词的用法

现在我们来看基数词的用法，分为主语、宾语、表语、定语和同位语五种，相对来说也是比较简单的内容啦，听的时候可以当句子练习，提升自己的语感哈

1、作主语 Three will be enough for us 三个对我们来说就足够了

2、作宾语 Fourpeople applied for this job, but we only need one 四个人申请了这工作，但我们仅需一人

3、作表语 The population of China is over 1.3 billion中国有1.3亿多人口

4、作定语 We have 300 worker in our company 我们公司有300名员工

5、作同位语 You two clean these seats 你们两个打扫这些位子

二、序数词：表示顺序或等级的数词是序数词。

（一）序数词特点

1、1—19各基数词尾直接加-th，其中七个例外：first, second, third, fifth, eighth, ninth, twelfth

2、20—90的整十数把y变i后加eth：twentieth,thirtieth,fortieth,fiftieth,sixtieth,seventieth, eightieth, ninetieth

3、21—99只需要把个位数变为序数词：twenty-first, one hundred andtenth

4、1000以上的词，只需把最后两位数变成序数词：one hundred and fifteenth

（二）序数词的用法

1 作主语 The second is what I really need 第二个是我真正需要的。

2 作宾语 I got a third in biology 我生物得了第三名。

3 作表语 I will be the first to support you 我将是第一个支持你的人。

4 作定语 I’ll try a second time and see if I can do it 我还要再试一次，看看我能否做的了

注意，这里是a，a second time表示是再一次的意思，强调动作重复
