I know why my mother shed tears,

我知道妈妈为什么会掉眼泪

> shed [ʃed]

vt. 除掉；使脱落；使流出；使清晰

Eg. Most trees shed their leaves in autumn.

大多数树在秋天落叶。

Eg. The candles shed a soft glow on/over her face.

蜡烛在她的脸上映着一层柔光。

n. 小屋；车棚

Eg. Let's put up a shed here for the time being. 

我们暂时在这里搭个棚吧。

because she always felt that she was just a regular mother,

因为她老是觉得自己只是一个普通的妈妈

without the ability to provide even more help for me,

没有办法提供更多的帮助给我

and yet she had to let me - at such a young age - come to Korea to fight for myself,

还要让我这么小一个人来到韩国自己打拼

she felt sad and apologetic.

她觉得伤心又抱歉

It was only that these were things she would not personally say.

只是这些她是不会亲口说出来的

Actually I don't want her to think that way,

但其实我不想让她这么想

since young, she has always cared for me, always helped me,

从小到大，她一直在照顾我，一直在帮我

fetching me from the airport, sending me off at the airport, participating in competitions, auditions, all with her by my side.

接机、送机、参加比赛、选拔，全都是她在我身边

She has already done too much for me.

她为我做的已经太多了

I am even a little fortunate, that I could finally do something independently.

我甚至有点庆幸，终于可以独立去做一件事了

The next day, I carried my luggage and moved into the trainee's dormitory.

第二天，我提着行李箱搬进了练习生的宿舍

The dormitory was in a place not too far from the company,

宿舍就在公司不太远的地方

the room was a set, two bedrooms, one living room, and one utility room.

房间是一个套间，两间卧室，一个客厅，还有一个杂物间

房租包括水电和煤气的费用吗？

Because I went late, the company cleared out the utility room and set up a bed,

因为我去得晚，公司把杂物间收拾出来，腾了一张床

I lived in the utility room.

我就住杂物间

Before coming to Korea, through the internet, I got to know that the training situation was very terrifying,

来韩国之前，我在网上了解到的关于训练的情况非常恐怖

saying that you had to wake up at 6 in the morning to practice,

说要早上六点钟起来练功

doing leg stretches till you were in tears, practicing till dawn,

压腿压到哭，练习练到凌晨

Eg. They start work at dawn.

天一亮他们就开始干活了。

Eg. He works from dawn till dusk.

他从早到晚地工作。

聚会在天亮的时候结束了。

Eg. It began to dawn after the long night.

漫漫长夜之后天开始亮起来。

Eg. The truth began to dawn on/upon him.

他开始明白那个事实。

so I truly had come prepared to face hardships.

所以我真的是做好了吃苦的准备来的
