Spanky is six years old and Roman is eight. The two dogs have been good friends since they were puppies. They sleep together, eat together and play together.
Once, their owners noticed that one of Roman’s ears was puffy(肿胀的). The vet said that he was sick with ear problems. Roman needed an operation(手术), but he had to wait a few weeks. So his owners decided to set up a video camera in their home. This way, they could keep an eye on the dogs when they were away.
One day, in the video, the owners saw Spanky dragging his bed towards Roman. After that, they both lay very close to each other on it. Spanky brought his bed to Roman so that Roman would be more comfortable and they would be closer to each other.
The owners shared the video on the internet. The friendship between Spanky and Roman moved(感动) many people. Now, Roman has had his operation and he is doing much better. The two dogs are happy to be close to each other again.
