Spring Showers (4)

Indeed, after getting used to watching something, it would get boring. When I thought I could finally free myself, I never imagined that they wouldn't let me off, but instead threw in new elements, such as making me wear a wig or wear a girl's skirt. What a scary trick to bully a child. My dream was Michael Jackson! Would Michael Jackson wear skirts? Would Michael Jackson wear a wig?

But I had no choice, as I was the youngest in the family. Sometimes, after wearing helmets, headgears, and wigs, my heart was still angry and reluctant, but any kind of resistance was futile. In the end I might as well resign myself to my fate, in order for this to end quickly, instead of resisting them, I might as well just do as they say. Truly, when you live under someone's roof, you have to bow to them.

But they were truly very happy. At that time on one hand I felt frustrated, but on the other hand I slowly felt that this feeling of everyone watching me, making them laugh, making them happy, letting them surround me, singing and dancing for them and getting applause, wasn't a bad feeling.

Many years later, when I participated in in Changsha, mother even lifted a fanboard and told grandfather, "Looks like the game we used to play has really come truer!”

Ah, there was a scheme indeed right?

Today’s key points:

Spring Showers (4)

Indeed, after getting used to watching something, it would get boring.

When I thought I could finally free myself,

I never imagined that they wouldn't let me off,

but instead threw in new elements,

> element ['elimənt]

Eg. Fitness has now become an important element in our lives.

Eg. There is an element of truth in his words.

Eg. There's an element of danger in any sport in which there is a lot of physical contact.

such as making me wear a wig or wear a girl's skirt.

What a scary trick to bully a child.

> trick [trɪk]

adj.

Eg. We are playing a trick on a man who keeps bothering me

Eg. The salesman tried to trick me into buying his products.

My dream was Michael Jackson!

Would Michael Jackson wear skirts?

Would Michael Jackson wear a wig?

But I had no choice, as I was the youngest in the family.

Sometimes, after wearing the helmet, headgear, and wig,

my heart was still angry and reluctant

> reluctant [rɪˈlʌktənt]

adj.

Eg. He's reluctant to make new friends.

Eg. I'm really reluctant to bother you.

but any kind of resistancewas futile.

> futile [ˈfju:tl]

adj.

Eg. It is always futile to try to stop the progress of history.

Eg. You do be make a futile effort so, who can care?

In the end I might as well resign myself to my fate,

in order for this to end quickly, instead of resisting them,

I might as well just do as they say.

Truly, when you live under someone's roof, you have to bow to them.

But they were truly very happy.

At that time on one hand I felt frustrated,

but on the other hand I slowly felt that this feeling of everyone watching me,

making them laugh, making them happy, letting them surround me,

singing and dancing for them and getting applause, wasn't a bad feeling.

Many years later, when I participated in in Changsha,

mother even lifted a fanboard and told grandfather,

"Looks like the game we used to play has really come true!”

Ah, there was a scheme indeed right?
