142万余人参加2022'国考'

More than 1.42 million people sat for a unified written exam across China on Sunday to compete for 31,200 civil servant vacancies with the central authorities and their branches, the State Administration of Civil Service said. Approximately 81.6 percent of 1.74 million qualified applicants took the 2022 civil servant recruitment exam, figures from the administration showed. The data indicated one in 46 examinees could become a civil servant. Sunday's exam was held simultaneously in 77 cities across the country. 
据国家公务员局消息，11月28日，中央机关及其直属机构2022年度公务员招考公共科目笔试在全国77个城市同时举行。本次招考计划招录3.12万人，共约174万考生考前进行了确认缴费、142万余人实际参加考试，参考率约为81.6%，参加考试人数与录用计划数之比约为46:1。

21,000 vacancies are set aside for college graduates to boost the employment of younger people. The central government has also rolled out preferential policies for grassroots positions. Job qualifications have been loosened for more than 8,700 vacancies at institutions at or below the county level in western China and remote areas.
本次招考安排2.1万个计划专门招录应届毕业生，服务和促进高校毕业生就业工作。录用政策坚持基层导向，有8700余个计划补充到西部和艰苦边远地区县(区)级及以下直属机构，并降低进入门槛。

Support lended for private enterprises
前10月民企贷款新增5万亿元

New loans to private enterprises reached 5 trillion yuan in the first 10 months of 2021, according to China's top banking and insurance regulator. The amount accounted for 53.5 percent of total new corporate loans in the 10 months, 1.8 percentage points higher than the level at the beginning of this year, data from the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission showed. Outstanding loans to private enterprises by banking financial institutions stood at 53.1 trillion yuan as of September this year, 15 trillion more than the level at the end of 2018. In the same period, the number of private firms  with outstanding loans increased by 25.84 million to 77.62 million. Financing costs for private enterprises have been on the decline. 
中国银保监会近日发布的数据显示，前10个月，民营企业贷款新增5万亿元，新发放民营企业贷款占新发放企业类贷款的比重为53.5%，较年初上升1.8个百分点。数据显示，今年9月末，银行业金融机构民营企业贷款余额53.1万亿元，较2018年末增加15万亿元；有贷款余额的民营企业户数7762万户，较2018年末增加2584万户。民营企业融资成本下降。

In the first three quarters of this year, the annual interest rate for new loans to private firms was 5.3 percent, 1.6 percentage points lower than the 2018 level. The CBIRC will further push for implementing measures to boost financial services for private enterprises and urge banking and insurance institutions to continue improving their service, a spokesperson with the commission said.
今年前9个月，新发放的民营企业贷款年化利率5.3%，较2018年下降1.6个百分点。银保监会新闻发言人表示，下一步将继续推动金融服务民营企业各项政策落实落细，引导督促银行保险机构持续优化金融服务。

WHO: not clear if Omicron more transmissible
世卫: 奥密克戎毒株传染力有待厘清

It is not yet clear whether the Omicron COVID-19 variant is more transmissible, or causes more severe disease compared to other variants including Delta, the World Health Organization said on Sunday. Preliminary data suggest there are increasing rates of hospitalization in South Africa, which may be due to increasing numbers of people becoming infected.The WHO confirmed there is currently no information to suggest symptoms associated with Omicron are different from those from other variants, as understanding the level of severity of the Omicron variant will take days or weeks. 
世界卫生组织11月28日表示，目前还不清楚奥密克戎毒株是否比德尔塔毒株等新冠病毒变异株传染力更强，或是将引发更严重的疾病。初步数据显示，南非的住院率攀升，不过这可能是因总体染疫人数增加。世卫组织证实，目前没有证据表明奥密克戎毒株引发的症状与其他变异株引发的症状不同，探究奥密克戎毒株的严重程度，还需要数日至数周的时间。

However, the WHO said preliminary evidence suggests there may be an increased risk of reinfection with Omicron, but information is limited. It added current PCR tests continue to detect Omicron, while further studies are ongoing to understand how the Omicron variant will impact available vaccines and treatments for COVID-19. 
世卫组织称，就初步掌握的证据分析，由奥密克戎变异株引发的再感染风险可能更高，但证据十分有限。目前继续以PCR筛检确诊病例，并且仍在进行相关研究，以判别奥密克戎毒株是否对于目前的新冠疫苗和确诊后的治疗造成影响。

"NFT” is 2021’s "Word of the Year," Collins Dictionary announced Wednesday. NFT is an abbreviation for non-fungible token, which according to the dictionary is “a unique digital certificate, registered in a blockchain, that is used to record ownership of an asset such as an artwork or a collectible.”

Twitter founder Jack Dorsey sold an NFT for his first tweet for $2.9 million. "Whether NFTs will have lasting influence is yet to be determined, but its sudden presence in conversations around the world makes it very clearly our Word of the Year,” the dictionary said.
