It was the Count Paris, who had come to the tomb of Juliet to strew flowers and to weep over the grave of the woman that should have been his bride. He didn’t know why Romeo had come to the tomb,but, knowing him to be a Montague and a sworn foe to all the Capulets, he guessed that he had come by night to do some villainous shame to the dead bodies.
Romeo urged Paris to leave him, and warned him not to provoke his anger or to force him to kill him. But the count refused his warning, and so the two men fought until the count was killed.
Romeo opened Juliet's tomb. There lay his lady in her matchless beauty. She lay dead, but she was fresh and blooming, because she had fallen to sleep when she swallowed that benumbing potion. Near her lay Tybalt in his bloody shroud.
Romeo, seeing the lifeless Tybalt, begged for his forgiveness, and for Juliet's sake called him "cousin".
“Tybalt, I am about to do you a favor by putting your enemy to death."Romeo said.
