Tara and Bitbit were too frightened to move . They stared at the red puddles and the melted chocolate and candies.
'I'd rather be anywhere than here' thought Bitbit.
'Hello . ' shouted a Loud voice . 'You've come at Last !'
Tara and Bitbit stared at the chocolateand candies . They couldn't see a giant hiding behind the food . But then someone stepped out of the shadows.
'Twist ! ' said Tara . 'What are you doing here ?'
'I'm waiting for you , 'Twist said with a smile . She pointed at the bauhinia petals on the ground .' I made a trail for you to follow . Happy Valentines Day !'
Twist gave her friends enormous chocolate?brownies.
' I thought you were a giant , 'said Tara
'I thought you were going to eat us .'
'Eat you ? 'laughed Twist . 'I'd rather eat candies and chocolate than you . I've been waiting to eat them all day .'
Twist finished her brownie . Then she ate some ice cream , three biscuits and a lollipop . She shared her treats with her friends.
'I got these from Hong Kong , 'Twist said . 'I've been waiting for you all morning . The chocolates have melted a bit in the sun . I also had some beautiful
red candles , but they've melted too. '

Chapter 5
'Sorry I scared you ,' Twist said to Tara .
' I know you Love Valentines Day , so I wanted to give you a nice surprise .'
'Thank you , ' said Tara
' And thank you for these delicious treats , said Bitbit ' Is Bugbug coming ? I' m sure hed Love the chocolate and candies too. '
'I think so . ' said Twist . wonder where he is. '
The bookworms looked around
' Did you tell him to come here ? ' asked Bitbit.
'Yes . ' said Twist. 'I sent him a Valentine's Day poem to invite him .'
'What did it say ? ' asked Tara.
' Roses are red ' started Twist , ' violets are blue . Chocolate and candies are waiting for you . Come to the forest and close your eyes . You're sure to enjoy this monster surprise!'
'M-m-monster ,' said a quiet voice.
'Please don't eat me.'
'Whos that ? " asked Bitbit.
Tara smiled . " I think I know , ' she said
'Twists poem was too scary for Bugbug. 'He must think there's a monster in the forest.
'Oh dear , ' said Twist . 'I didn't mean that . ' She Looked around .
'Bugbug ! ' she shouted . 'I'm sorry, Monster can mean very big . There isn't a monster here , just lots of chocolate and candies'
' R-r-really ? 'said the quiet voice.
Twist , Tara and Bitbit followed the voice .
They found Bugbug hiding under a picnic table
'Really , ' said Twist . " You're safe. '
Bugbug jumped out from his hiding place . 'Then lets eat ! ' he said.
The bookworms enjoyed Lots ofchocolate and candies.
Twist gave them more red flowers too
'These flowers are from Hong Kong .
They're a special flower in our favourite city. '
'Wonderful . ' said Tara .' I wanted a secret admirer . but this is even better . I' d rather spend Valentine's Day with myfriends than meet someone new.
