Would you like to sell things for a job? Why or why not?


A+: What made you become an insurance agent?

Victor: Because I didn’t want to have fixed-salary jobs, I began working in sales. Then, I realized the nature of the insurance sales job is to help people. I also saw my supervisors keep pushing their limits at work. For these reasons, I wanted to do this job for good.


A+: Can you share your daily work with us?

Victor: My day usually starts with a meeting about different insurance information at 8:30 a.m. Then I do some work and train other insurance agents before noon. In the afternoon, I visit clients and plan the next day’s work and meeting.

A+:是什么让你成为了一名保险代理人呢?

Victor:因为我不想从事固定薪水的工作,就进入了销售业。后来,我意识到保险销售工作的本质是帮助人们,我也看到我的主管们在工作中不断地突破极限。基于这些原因,这份工作我想要永远一直做下去。


A+:你可以跟我们分享一下你的日常工作吗?

Victor:我的一天通常从早上 8 点半讨论保险信息的会议开始,然后我会处理一些工作,并在中午之前培训其他保险代理人。下午, 我会拜访客户,并计划隔天的工作和会议。






1. realize (v.)意识到;了解

2. nature (n.)本质;性质

The nature of a smile is to make people feel warm and friendly.

笑容的本质是让人感到温暖以及友善。


3. limit (n.)极限;限度

I’m at my limit. I can’t do any more homework!

我已经到极限了。我无法做更多的作业。


4. meeting (n.)会议

The boss held a meeting to decide some important things in the office.

为了决定一些办公室的重要事项,老板召开了一场会议。
