小雅·鱼藻之什·角弓

骍骍角弓，翩其反矣。兄弟婚姻，无胥远矣。
尔之远矣，民胥然矣。尔之教矣，民胥效矣。
此令兄弟，绰绰有裕。不令兄弟，交相为愈。
民之无良，相怨一方。受爵不让，至于已斯亡。
老马反为驹，不顾其后。如食宜饇，如酌孔取。
毋教猱升木，如涂涂附。君子有徽猷，小人与属。
雨雪瀌々，见晛曰消。莫肯下遗，式居娄骄。
雨雪浮浮，见晛曰流。如蛮如髦，我是用忧。
有扁斯石，履之卑兮。之子之远，俾我疧兮。


Admonition'

Tighten the string of the bow,
Its recoil will be swift.
If brothers alien go,
Their affection will shift.
If you alienate
Your relatives and brothers,
People will imitate
You when you deal with others.

When there is brotherhood,
Good feeling is displayed.
When brothers are not good,
Much trouble will be made.

The people have no grace,
They blame the other side;
They fight to get high place
And come to fratricide.

Old steeds think themselves good;
Of the young they don't think.
They want plenty of food
And an excess of drink.

Don't teach apes to climb trees
Nor add mud to the wall.
If you do good with ease,
They'll follow you one and all.

Flake on flake falls the snow;
It dissolves in the sun.
Don't despise those below.
The proud will be undone.

The snow falls flake on flake;
It will melt in sunlight.
Let no barbarians make
You fall into a sad plight.
