上海发布新一轮人工智能工厂建设方案
United Automotive Electronic Systems has built a smart factory in Pudong. Authorities envision【预想】 200 smart factories in the city by 2025. Zhang Hong tells us more.
联合汽车电子公司在浦东建立了一个智能工厂，专家设想到2025年，上海将建成200家示范性智能工厂。记者张泓带来更多详细报道。

At an auto parts production base in Pudong, a factory is using an AI visual detection system to find errors in circuit boards used in car engines. 
位于浦东的这座汽车零配件生产基地，工人们正在使用AI视觉检测系统来查找汽车发动机控制器电路板的问题。

It's like having an additional "brain" from a virtual person in the production process. The AI works continuously with an accuracy of 99.9%.
就相当于在生产工艺中，多了一个“大脑”，多了一个虚拟的人，可以24小时持续工作，而且它的准确率已经达到99.9%。

The smart factory has a 5G network and access to big data. It's expected to help with procuring【获得】 raw materials, as well as improving production, quality control and logistics. Automobile industry association and research and development institutions are drawing up standards. The document is expected to be published next year and will offer case studies for other cities to assess and possibly replicate【复制】.
通过5G连接、大数据驱动，企业在用料、生产、检测和物流等各个环节，都在持续提升智能制造能级。与此同时，汽车产业协会和研发机构也在加速推进智能制造领域的相关标准。预计明年发布的《标准指南》，有望为其他城市提供可复制、可推广的“上海经验”。

The automobile industry has high quality standards. Now we're also promoting customized vehicles so we need multiple assembly【组装】 lines for limited production runs of different types of vehicles. We need to automate as much as possible to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

The robot density【密度】 in large factories in Shanghai approached world leading levels at 260 per 10,000 workers last year. Two national-level smart factories, 5 demonstrative smart factories and 20 outstanding examples of smart manufacturing applications were built in Shanghai last year.
去年，上海大型工厂的机器人密度接近世界领先水平，达到260台/万人。同年，上海建成了2个国家级智能工厂、5个示范性智能工厂和20个智能制造优秀场景。

2.SH WORKS TOWARD A LOW CARBON FUTURE

It's been two years since the central government set the "dual carbon" target in response to the scarcity of resources and the deterioration of the environment. The country plans to reach peak carbon use by 2030 and become carbon neutral by 2060. Our reporter Zhang Yue finds out that Shanghai is taking solid steps toward a low-carbon future.
为应对资源稀缺和环境恶化，中央政府提出了“双碳”目标，到现在已经有两年时间。我国力争2030年前实现碳达峰，2060年前实现碳中和。记者张乐发现，上海正在向低碳的未来迈出坚实的步伐。

This hotel in suburban Songjiang District has started a green check-in plan. Hotel guests who bring their own toiletries like comb, toothpaste, toothbrush, and soap will be given a 92-gram green energy credit. The credit can be registered and redeemed【兑换】 on Alipay's Ant Forest project to help with environmental protection. The project has already led to 200 million trees being planted in northwestern China. 
一家位于松江区的酒店已经开始了一项绿色入住计划。酒店客人如果自带梳子、牙膏、牙刷和肥皂等洗漱用品，将获得92克的蚂蚁森林能量。该额度可以在支付宝的蚂蚁森林项目上注册和兑换，以帮助保护环境。该项目已经累计在中国西北部种植了2亿棵树。

Some consumers may not want to, some customers may. But that's Ok. Our responsibility is to give people the opportunity to be able to make a choice. The Shanghai government was the first in Greater China to reducing one-time use amenities【便利设施】. They were also looking at how we can reduce food waste, how we can reduce other disposable amenities in our hotels.

Work is being down to improve office buildings in Shanghai. At this one in Lujiazui, LED screens can be seen in the lobby and on each floor by elevator entrances. They show the real-time air quality inside the building. The property management office said a new ventilation【通风】 system had been installed.

The system has a better filter to protect against PM2.5 and other aerosol pollutants, creating a healthier work place for people. It also uses 10 to 15% less electricity.

The building has Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification, the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Shanghai ranked first in China with a total of 867 real estate projects having LEED certification by the end of last year, compared to 537 in Beijing, and 308 in Hong Kong.

Building energy consumption in China accounts for about 33% of total social energy consumption, and office buildings are classified as high-energy buildings. Carbon and building energy auditing is the first step of energy-saving and low-carbon development.

The National Development and Reform Commission said last month that carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP has dipped 34.4% between 2012 and 2021.

The Russian Defense Ministry said yesterday that its forces had repelled Ukrainian offensives in the northeast and south. And Russian President Vladimir Putin met his Turkish counterpart about the possibility of using Turkey as a route to deliver Russian gas to Europe. Zhang Yue has the story.
俄罗斯国防部昨天（10/13）通报称，俄军当天在东北部和南部战线击退乌军进攻。俄总统普京昨天（10/13）与土耳其总统埃尔多安举行会谈。普京提议，期望在土耳其建立一个俄罗斯向欧洲输送天然气的枢纽。记者张乐带来更多详细报道。

According to the ministry, Russian soldiers repelled an attack by the Ukrainian army in Kharkiv. However, the commander of Ukraine's armed forces stated that its counteroffensive would continue to take back areas of the country seized by Russian early in the conflict. He described the battlefield as "complicated but controlled". Air defense alerts throughout Ukraine continued until late in the day. The Ukrainian military claimed yesterday that five more Russian Kalibr missiles fired from the Black Sea were shot down. Russia did not confirm or deny the claim. Also, Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Putin told Erdogan that Turkey was the most reliable route to deliver gas to the European Union and proposed building a supply hub there.

It would be a platform not just for supplies, but for determining the price too, because this is a very important issue, the issue of pricing. Today the prices are exorbitant and we could regulate them at a normal market level without any political overtones.

On September 26th, a series of explosions and subsequent gas leaks occurred on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipelines, causing what might be the largest single release of methane in history. The Russian Foreign Ministry said yesterday without the participation of Russian experts, Moscow won't recognize any results of investigations into leaks on the Nord Stream pipelines. In a statement, the ministry said it had summoned envoys from Germany, Denmark and Sweden to express "bewilderment【困惑】" over Russia's exclusion from a joint probe into the sabotage. Germany yesterday received its first direct gas deliveries from France through a pipeline in a deal aimed at helping both countries cope with current energy supply problems.
