[00:00:05.8]The next day is warm and sunny. 

[00:00:09.3]Don Diego gets on his beautiful horse. He rides to Don Carlos Pulido's big hacienda.

[00:00:18.9]Don Carlos is a good friend of Don Diego's family. 

[00:00:23.2]Both families are rich and important. 

[00:00:26.8]But the Governor does not like Don Carlos. 

[00:00:30.3]He creates problems for him. 

[00:00:32.6]He wants to take Don Carlos' land.

[00:00:36.0]Don Carlos is happy to see his friend. 

[00:00:39.0]"Good morning, Don Diego. What a nice surprise! Come and sit in the patio."

[00:00:45.8]I am here to say something very important," says Don Diego. 

[00:00:50.0]"I am almost 25 years old. 

[00:00:52.7]My father wants me to get married and start a family.

[00:01:07.1]"Lolita is 18 years old and she is very beautiful," answers Don Carlos.

[00:01:13.3]"You have a fine family. With your permission, I want to marry your daughter," says Don Diego.

[00:01:20.3]Don Carlos smiles and is happy. "This is an honour for our family. You have my permission! Do you want to see Lolita?"

[00:01:29.1]"I think I must!" 

[00:01:30.7]answers Don Diego.

[00:01:33.4]Don Carlos calls her and she comes to the patio. 

[00:01:37.7]Lolita is a lovely girl with long black hair and dark eyes.

[00:01:43.2]"Good morning, senorita. There is something I must tell you," says Don Diego smiling. 

[00:01:48.9]"I want to marry you and your father approves."

[00:01:52.2]"Oh, senor!" exclaims Lolita. "You want to marry me!" 

[00:01:56.9]She is surprised and her face is red.

[00:02:00.4]"Think about it today. 

[00:02:02.2]One of my servants can bring me your answer tomorrow."

[00:02:05.5]"But why can't you come tomorrow?" asks Lolita.

[00:02:09.2]"Oh, your hacienda is far. I get tired when I ride my horse. 

[00:02:14.0]I prefer to stay at home and rest."

[00:02:18.1]You want to marry me and you don't want to visit me!

[00:02:25.0]I want to marry a strong, romantic man.

[00:02:45.9]Don Diego is very rich. He comes from a noble family.

[00:02:57.5]In the afternoon Lolita is alone in the patio. 

[00:03:01.5]She is thinking about Don Diego. 

[00:03:04.5]Suddenly she hears a noise and turns around. 

[00:03:08.6]She sees Zorro standing in front of her. 

[00:03:11.8]"Zorro!" she whispers.

[00:03:14.4]"Don't be afraid, senorita. I only punish corrupt people. 

[00:03:18.6]I like your father because he is honest. I an here to admire your beauty."

[00:03:23.3]"What! You must go away. You are in great danger," says Lolita.

[00:03:30.2]"You are beautiful and kind, Lolita," says Zorro. "Let me kiss your hand." 

[00:03:35.1]Zorro takes her small hand and kisses it. 

[00:03:39.3]Lolita looks into his eyes and smiles. 

[00:03:43.4]Then she runs into the house. 

[00:03:45.8]"What a courageous man! 

[00:03:48.6]He is a bandit but I like him," Lolita thinks.
