Astronauts enter Tianzhou-3 cargo craft
'神十三'航天员进入天舟三号

The Shenzhou-13 crew has entered the Tianzhou-3 cargo craft to transfer its payload, according to the China Manned Space Agency on Sunday. After successfully stationing in China's space station core module Tianhe, the Shenzhou-13 crew opened the hatch of the Tianzhou-3 cargo craft and entered it at 9:50 a.m. (Beijing Time), the CMSA said. The crew will also open the hatch of the Tianzhou-2 cargo craft. They will carry out cargo transfer and other related work as planned. 
中国载人航天工程办公室10月17日表示，在顺利进驻空间站天和核心舱后，北京时间10月17日9时50分，神舟十三号航天员乘组成功开启货物舱舱门，并顺利进入天舟三号货运飞船；接下来，航天员乘组还将开启天舟二号货运飞船货物舱舱门。后续，航天员乘组将按计划开展货物转运等相关工作。

The Shenzhou-13 spaceship was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China's Gobi Desert on Saturday. After Shenzhou-13 successfully completed a fast automated rendezvous and dock with the core module Tianhe, the crew entered the core module. They will stay in orbit for six months, setting a new duration record for China's crewed space missions.
10月16日，神舟十三号载人飞船在西北戈壁的酒泉卫星发射中心发射，与空间站组合体成功实现自主快速交会对接后，3名航天员进入天和核心舱。神舟十三号飞行乘组将在轨飞行6个月，将创造中国人太空驻留新纪录。

Third-generation hybrid rice achieves high yield
第三代杂交水稻实现高产目标

The third-generation hybrid rice developed by Yuan Longping, the "father of hybrid rice," and his team achieved a new yield record in fields in central China's Hunan province. The new record in Qingzhu village, Hengyang city, one of the hybrid rice's experimental fields, reached 1,603.9 kg per mu. Hunan is one of the major rice producers in China, and is where farmers plant double-cropping rice. Among the rice’s output, the yield of early rice came to 667.8 kg per mu in the test fields, and that of late-season rice stood at 936.1 kg per mu. 
由"杂交水稻之父"袁隆平团队研发的第三代杂交水稻在湖南省衡南县清竹村实验示范基地双季测产为亩产1603.9公斤，创造了新的纪录。湖南是中国主要的水稻产地之一，农民种植双季稻。此次测产验收测得晚稻平均亩产936.1公斤，此前测得的早稻平均亩产667.8公斤。

Last year, the same hybrid rice variety made a double-cropping yield of 1,530.76 kg per mu in a year on the same plot. "Surpassing a yield of 1,500 kg per mu in a year on the same plot means the target set by professor Yuan Longping has been realized," said Li Jianwu, a researcher at the Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center. The high yield under unfavorable conditions of the earlier continuous high temperature has shown the varietal has strong adaptability and has laid a good foundation for future promotion, he said.
去年，第三代杂交水稻在同一实验示范基地双季亩产达到1530.76公斤。湖南杂交水稻研究中心的研究人员李建武说："同一生态区连续2年双季亩产超过1500公斤，这意味着袁隆平院士生前提出的攻关目标实现了。"他表示，在前期持续高温的不利天气下，此次高产结果表明品种的适应性较强，也为下一步推广打下了良好基础。

China will carry out pilot child-friendly city schemes in approximately 100 cities with a population of over 1 million and a solid economic base, the National Development and Reform Commission said on Friday. In advancing the construction of child-friendly cities, local governments should play their roles to explore differentiated paths and models, said Ou Xiaoli, an official with the NDRC. 
国家发改委10月15日表示，中国将在约100个人口超过100万、经济基础雄厚的城市开展儿童友好型城市试点。国家发改委官员欧晓理表示，在推进儿童友好型城市建设中，地方政府应发挥主体作用，探索差异化建设路径和建设模式。

Local governments should enshrine the concept of being "child-friendly" in the advancement of new urbanization and the provision of equal public services, and raise the quality of services in education, health care, culture and sports, Ou said. In innovating urban public facilities, local governments should plan and build specialized venues and facilities for children, and transform public spaces and facilities to make them suitable for children, he added. He also stressed the importance of efforts to introduce social capital into the field to offer diversified and multi-level services.

Train hosts live yoga class
英国推火车瑜伽课缓解焦虑

A train operator is making travel more tranquil — by hosting live yoga classes during journeys. Travelers on Heathrow Express were treated to sessions with yoga influencer Celest Pereira, who has developed a 12-minute "seat-yoga" and meditation routine. The class has been developed so travelers of all ages and abilities can perform the exercises safely from their seats - and it's believed to be the first time a yoga class has taken place on a moving train.
