Greece Opens Its First Underwater Museum 第2672期
Greece has opened its very first underwater museum. Visitors will be able to explore an ancient shipwreck there.
The shipwreck is called the Peristera. It was first discovered in the early 1990s. It is said that the ship was built in the 5th century B.C.
The shipwreck lays 25 meters below the water’s surface. When it was first discovered, only scientists and researchers could explore it.
On August 1, the Underwater Museum of Peristera opened to the public. Divers will be able to explore it until early October.
The museum has an information center on land. It is built for those who aren’t divers. And offers virtual tours of the shipwreck. Visitors will also learn more about Peristera through the exhibits at the center.
