雅思口语P2 -描述一种制服

Describe a (school or company) uniform you have worn.

描述你拥有过的一件制服（校服，或者工作服）

You should say,

你应该说

·       what it was 是什么

·       how you got it 你是如何得到的

·       what it looked like 它看起来什么样子

and explain how you felt about it.

然后描述你感觉如何。

I guess the uniform I remember most clearly is the one I used to wear at secondary school.  From the age of 12 to 18 we had to wear black shoes, black or dark grey trousers, a black blazer with the school badge on, a white shirt and the school tie. 

我想我记得最清楚的制服应该是我的中学制服。在英国，从12岁到18岁必须要穿黑色的鞋子，黑色或者深灰色的裤子，带有学校徽章的黑色西装外套，白衬衫和学校领带。

It really wasn’t very colourful even the school tie and badge were just back and white with a few dashes of red.  I remember before I started at the school my mum and I had to take a trip to a special uniform shop to buy everything.  It was an old looking shop in the middle of the local town, and it had all kinds of suits and formal wear over two floors. 

即使学校的领带和徽章白色的底色上会有一点点红，但是整个校服的颜色不是很鲜艳。我记得在上学之前，妈妈必须带着我到学校制服专卖店去买制服。那是一家位于当地小镇中间的老店，满满两层楼的校服和制服。

The blazer was too big for me so the sleeves would hang down past my hands, but my mum would always say “Don’t worry, you’ll grow into it.”  I think every parent has used that phrase with their kids at some point. 

我记得，当时西装外套对我来说有些大，袖子很长，但是妈妈说：没事，你是要长高的。我相信你们的爸爸妈妈在某个时候都和你说过类似的话吧。

The school badge had to be sewn on by hand and of course my mum took care of this as I was only 12 and had no idea how to do it.  I remember thinking what a boring looking badge, it only had a couple of swans on it and a few bundles of wheat. 

学校的校徽买了以后要用手缝到外套上，当然因为我只有12岁当时，不会缝，所以就由妈妈代劳了。我还记得当时我认为那个是超无聊难看的校徽，上面只有几只天鹅和一些麦穗。

At the bottom it had the school motto in Latin, I can’t remember what is said now.  It made me feel like this school was going to be very serious and there wouldn’t be a lot of fun there.  It turned that although the school was strict, I did have a lot of fun and by the time I left I was very proud to wear that uniform as it made me feel part of something special.

在校徽地下写着学校的宗旨，我现在记不太起来具体是咋么说的了，当时我就觉得这所学校肯定特别严格，我应该不会喜欢的。可是事实是，虽然学校管理很严格，但我却在那里度过了开心愉快的几年，当我离开的时候，我为能穿着我们学校的校服感到非常自豪，因为他让我感觉到了集体荣誉感。
