Once upon a time

从前

There was a castle

有一座城堡

standing in the midst of a city ,

站在城市的中心，

Which was empty for many years

里面已经空了很多年了

No one stayed there

没有人呆在那里

People say ,

人们会说,

A Giant used to live in the castle ,

城堡里住着一个巨人，

but in all these years 

但这么多年来

Nobody had seen any Giant there

没有人在那里看到巨人

Have you heard about the Giant of this castle ?

你听说过这座城堡的巨人吗?

I guess they're rumors

我猜是谣言

We should not believe them

我们不应该相信他们

Has anyone of us seen any Giant here

有人看到巨人了吗

No No

不不

Ohh No

哦没有

We should enjoy the beauty of this place

我们应该欣赏这个地方的美

Than paying attention to such rumors

而不是关注这些谣言

But who maintains this garden then ?

但是谁来管理这个花园呢?

There was a beautiful garden around the castle .

城堡周围有一个美丽的花园。

It was full of blossoms ,

它开满了花，

Woods . Fruits

树林 水果

Birds butterflies

鸟 蝴蝶

Every day , many little children used to play in the garden

每天都有许多小孩子在花园里玩

It was the most liked and safe place for the children

这是孩子们最喜欢和最安全的地方

They all used to play different games

他们过去都玩不同的游戏

Running behind the butterflies was one of their favorites

Hey ! Look at that Orange butterfly !

I'll try catch it !

Run behind it , but dont hurt it please .

The garden was as beautiful as Heaven

And then one day ,

The Giant arrived .

He was happy to see the beautiful , well-maintained garden

Ah ! My beautiful garden

It seems it is still blessed by Mother Nature .

I'm happy to be heret

It was afternoon when the Giant returned to the castle

巨人回到城堡时已是下午了

these were no kids playing in the garden then

那时没有孩子在花园里玩耍

The Giant like his peace

巨人喜欢他的宁静

However,in the evening

然而,在晚上

The Giant was disturbed with the noise outside

巨人被外面的噪音打扰了

The children had come to the garden to play

孩子们来花园玩耍

The Giant liked to live alone

He didn't like anybody around him .

He decided to go out in the garden

As the Giant entered the garden ,

巨人走进花园，

The kids playing there got scared

They started screaming & running all around

他们开始尖叫，到处跑

Everybody was looking for an escape

The Giant was very angry to see so many children playing there

巨人看到这么多孩子在那儿玩，非常生气

Go away you little monsters

走开，你们这些小怪物

You'll spoil my beautiful garden 

你会破坏我美丽的花园

Go away 

走开

And don't ever try to enter in my premises

永远不要试图进入我的领地

This is my garden 

这是我的花园

Not yours .

不是你的。

All the children playing there rushed out of the garden , and went home

所有在那儿玩的孩子都冲出花园，回家去了

The Giant went back to the castle enjoyed the peace around him

巨人回到城堡，享受着周围的宁静

The Giant was asleep again

巨人又睡着了

The children thought that the Giant had gone

孩子们以为巨人已经走了

And they couldn't resist entering the garden

他们无法抗拒进入花园

The Giant woke up again to find the kids playing in his garden

巨人再次醒来，发现孩子们在他的花园里玩

He got furious he shouted at the kids

他生气了，对孩子们大喊大叫

The frightened kids ran away

受惊的孩子们跑开了

The Giant kept an eye on the garden from then on

从那以后，巨人一直盯着花园

He didn't even sleep at night

他晚上甚至都没睡

Late at night ,

深夜，

he saw a branch of a flowered tree falling down

他看见一棵开满花的树的树枝倒了下来

He didn't understand the reason behind it .

他不明白这背后的原因。

The next morning

第二天早上

The Giant saw a few children playing in his garden again

巨人又看见几个孩子在他的花园里玩

He rushed to the garden angrily

他生气地冲向花园

The kids were very scared when they saw the angry persona of the Giant

孩子们看到巨人生气的样子非常害怕

The Giant decided to raise the height of the boundary walls of the castle

巨人决定把城堡的围墙加高

Now the Giant was all alone in his castle

现在巨人独自一人在他的城堡里

Nobody could enter into the castle

没有人能进入城堡

The Giant is very selfish

巨人非常自私

How can someone enjoy in the garden alone

一个人怎么能独自在花园里享受呢

He must be a very sad person .

他一定是个很悲伤的人。

We should find out why he is sad

我们应该找出他为什么悲伤

We'll ask him to play with us ! U

我们邀请他和我们一起玩!U

We can ask him only when we'll be allowed to go in !

我们只有在可以进去的时候才能问他!

Hmm

Hmm

The Giant used to sleep for a long time

巨人常常睡很长时间

When awake

当醒着

He used to sit in he window , and watch the beauty of the garden

他过去常坐在窗户里欣赏花园的美丽

But he saw some branches falling down every now then

但他不时看到一些树枝掉下来

He thought

他认为

May it'll be for some time

可能要等一段时间吗

As the Spring comes , my garden will blossom again !

春天来了，我的花园又要开花了!

He sat in the window throughout the winter season , watching his garden go dry

整个冬天，他都坐在窗前，看着他的花园干涸

Day by day

一天又一天

I'lI wait for the Spring

我将等待春天的到来

It'll groom my garden ,

它会打扫我的花园，

And make it more beautiful than ever .

让它变得更加美丽。

Spring came went , but the garden was still dry

春天来了，但是花园仍然是干的

The Giant was very unhappy .

巨人很不高兴。

Why isn't there any blossom in my garden ?

为什么我的花园里没有花?

Why has Mother Nature turned its face away from my beautiful garden

大自然为什么把脸从我美丽的花园里转开呢

Is Mother Nature angry with me ?

大自然在生我的气吗?

But why would she be angry ?

但她为什么会生气呢?

The Giant thought about it for days & nights

巨人想了好几天好几夜

He was now fed up of his loneliness

他现在厌倦了孤独

One fine morning , a few kids sneaked into the garden

一个晴朗的早晨，几个孩子偷偷溜进了花园

They played there for some time , until the Giant saw them

他们在那里玩了一会儿，直到巨人看见了他们

The Giant was angry at them

巨人对他们很生气

He ran to them , shouting !

他边跑边喊!

All the children ran out of the premises at once ,

所有的孩子都立刻跑出了房子，

Except one of them

除了其中一个

The Giant saw a little boy standing under a tree

巨人看见一个小男孩站在树下

He was shivering as the Giant reached to him

巨人向他伸手时，他在发抖

He was crying badly .

他哭得很厉害。

What are you doing here ?

你在这儿干什么?

Please don't kill me . I won't come here again

请不要杀我。我不会再来这里了

Do I kill people ?

我杀人吗?

I'm not a bad person .

I don't kill anybody

I won't kill you either

Don't cry

别哭了

I want to go home

我想回家

Please let me go

What were you up to before I came here ?

我来之前你在忙什么?

I wanted to climb up on this tree , but I can't

我想爬上这棵树，但我爬不上去

Oh ! Is that so

Let me help you

The Giant lifted the boy and put him on a branch of the tree

巨人抱起男孩，把他放在树枝上

Now call your friends inside

现在把你的朋友叫进来

You may play here

你可以在这里玩

The Giant observed the beautiful smile on the boy's face

巨人注意到男孩脸上美丽的笑容

The boy called his friends to play

男孩叫他的朋友来玩

The kids came in

孩子们进来了

And the Giant returned to the castle

巨人回到了城堡

On his way back

在他回来的路上

he saw a small plant

他看到了一株小植物

with a couple of flowers on it .

上面有几朵花。

He was surprised to see them ,

他看到它们很惊讶，

And happy too

和快乐

He turned around to see the kids playing merrily

他转过身去，看见孩子们玩得很开心

Then onwards

The children started playing in the garden as they used to

孩子们开始像以前一样在花园里玩

And very soon ,

The garden blossomed as it did in the past

花园和过去一样开了花

The Giant , sitting in his window

巨人坐在他的窗户里

Understood where the real beauty of the garden lies
