2、chain : 用铁链拴住v.
There were two birds chained together in a cage.
chained是chain的过去分词作后置定语，修饰前面的birds.表示“两只被铁链锁住的鸟”

3、outsmart：比......更聪明/更精明 vt.

4、wander: 漫步；闲逛 vt./n.
