1．Two frogs lived together in a marsh. But one hot summer the marsh dried up , and they left it to look for anotherplace to live in , for frogs like damp places if they can get them . By and bythey came to a deep well , and one of them looked down into it , and one saidto the other , ＂This looks anice cool palce . Let us jump in and settle here . ＂But the other , who had a wiserhead on his shoulders , replied , ＂Not so fast , my friend . Supposing this well dried up like themarsh , how should we get out again ?＂

1．两只青蛙一起生活在一片沼泽地里。但是，一年夏天，沼泽地干涸了，它们只能离开，去寻找别的住处，因为只要能够找到，青蛙都愿意呆在潮湿的地方。它们走啊走，来到了一口井边，其中一只低头看了看井，对另一只说：“这儿看来是一个凉爽的好地方。我们就跳进去住在这儿吧！”另一只青蛙头脑更加聪明，它回答：“不要这么着急，朋友！说不定这口井也会像沼泽地一样，很快干掉，那到时候我们怎么出来呢？”
