我们在美国的生活，工作和学习中，到处可以遇到一个看上去很简单，但其实却很不简单的一个词： Term

Term 这个词有很多不同的意思和用法: 期间, 任期, 学期, 条件, 条约, 术语, 用语, 终结, 终端. 可以用于生活中的方方面面。那么到底在什么场景下，是什么意思呢？

1. Term： a fixed or limited time period （期间，任期） 

    - The president is elected for another term (总统又当选了下一届任期)

    - Long-term care  (长期看护）

    - School term （学期）, term paper （学期论文）

2. Term：legal stipulations or conditions (法律: 条件，条约)

    - We agreed uponthe terms of the contract 

    - In terms of cost, you don't need to worry

    - He is contributing on his own terms

3. Term: abbreviations of Terminology, Terminate, Terminal:

    - In technical terms (terminologies)

    - His employment is termed (terminated)

    - I flew from Term A (Terminal) of the airport

Homework: "At the end of the school term, I termed my rental lease according to the terms of the contract. I went to airport term to fly back to China. In terms of mystudy?  I continued the learning on my own terms." 啥意思？
