As we listen to our own suffering, we must let go of the idea that we are a victim of others. Our lack of self-esteem and our anger have been with us for a long time. These are big obstacles on our path of practice. We must recognize them. We must see that our suffering is our inheritance. This understanding alone will already help liberate us. We can say to our suffering, “I am here for you. I will take care of you and transform you.” In this way, our tendency to blame others for our suffering, believing it’s the other’s fault, will fade naturally
