The Fox and the Crow

One day, a crow found a piece of meat. She picked it up in her beak and flew to a tree branch to enjoy her meal.

一天，一只乌鸦找到了一块肉。她用嘴叼起肉，飞到一根树枝上准备享用美食。

A fox happened to pass by and saw the crow with the meat. He was very hungry and wanted to get the meat for himself.

一只狐狸碰巧路过，看到了带着肉的乌鸦。他非常饿，想把肉据为己有。

The fox thought for a moment and then said to the crow, "Dear Miss Crow, you look so beautiful today. Your feathers are so shiny and black."

狐狸想了一会儿，然后对乌鸦说：“亲爱的乌鸦小姐，你今天看起来真美。你的羽毛又黑又亮。”

The crow was very pleased to hear the fox's words, but she didn't say anything because she had the meat in her beak.

乌鸦听到狐狸的话很高兴，但因为嘴里叼着肉，她什么也没说。

The fox continued, "And your eyes are so bright. They are like two shining stars. I bet you have a very beautiful voice, too. Why don't you sing a song for me?"

狐狸继续说：“而且你的眼睛如此明亮，就像两颗闪亮的星星。我打赌你的嗓音也一定很美。为什么不给我唱首歌呢？”

The crow was flattered by the fox's praise. She wanted to show off her voice, so she opened her beak to sing.

乌鸦被狐狸的赞美弄得飘飘然。她想炫耀一下自己的嗓音，于是张开嘴唱歌。

As soon as she opened her beak, the piece of meat fell down to the ground. The fox quickly picked it up and ran away, saying, "Thank you, Miss Crow. You are really a good singer, but I think I like your meat better."

她刚一张嘴，那块肉就掉到了地上。狐狸迅速捡起肉跑开了，边跑边说：“谢谢你，乌鸦小姐。你确实是个好歌手，但我想我更喜欢你的肉。”
