The Tortoise and the Hare
Once upon a time, there was a hare who was very proud of his speed.
He often boasted about how fast he could run.
One day, he saw a tortoise slowly crawling along.
The hare laughed at the tortoise and said, "You are so slow. I could run circles around you."
The tortoise replied calmly, "Don't be so sure. Let's have a race."
The hare agreed, thinking it would be an easy win.
So they started the race.
The hare quickly took the lead and soon left the tortoise far behind.
He was so confident that he decided to take a nap under a tree.
While the hare was sleeping, the tortoise kept moving forward slowly but steadily.
When the hare woke up, he was shocked to see that the tortoise was almost at the finish line.
He rushed as fast as he could, but it was too late.
The tortoise crossed the finish line first.
The hare realized his mistake: Pride goes before a fall.
