VIP flight represents aflight which should be given special concern. In China, the flight with very important passenger on board such as chairman, primeminister and leaders of foreign countries is called VIP flight.

As we all know, VIP flights mean very important flights, so we must pay more attentions on them. We should give them priority in every phase of flight, including startup, taxing, takeoff and landing. If we need to conduct flow control during the operation, we must make sure the VIP flights should not be restricted.

Yes, I think VIP flights should give way to the emergent flight. Because it is our responsibility to guarantee the safety of all aircraft and passengers. For example, if an aircraft encounters engine failure in the air, which may lead to crash if not handled properly, VIP flights should give way to it in the case. After all, safety is our first priority.

According to our standard operating procedures, firstly, only the instructor or supervisor can direct VIP flights, so we should arrange relevant personnel in advance. Secondly, we should give VIP flights priority in every phase of flight. What is more, when a VIP flight is in our area, we should adopt twice radar separation between VIP flights and normal flights to ensure the safety.

First, we should report it to our leader and relevant departments. Then, we should gather weather information and check the traffic conditions on route, and make full preparation for it. Yes, Ido. We must adopt twice radar separation between VIP flights and normal flights. For example, in my control unit, the normal lateral separation is 10 km, but for VIP flights, we should maintain at least 20 km separation between VIP flights and normal flights. Similarly, in the vertical direction, we should use 600 meters instead of 300 meters when provide separation between VIP flights and normal flights.
7. Is it more difficult to ensure the security of VIPflights thannormalflights?Why?
Handling VIP flights is surely more difficult than normal flights. We need to give special concern to VIP flights in every aspect. We have to do much more preparation and arrangement. For example, we need to inform many relevant units including the military, the next control unit, and the security department. What is more, the need of providing double separation will bring a lot pressure to us.
