Warm-up Question: What do you know about Switzerland? What would you do there?

Switzerland is a European country near France, Germany, Italy, and Austria. It’s famous for beautiful mountains, cheese, chocolate, and lots more!

Winter sports such as skiing are popular in Switzerland. At 4,478 meters high, the Matterhorn is the second highest mountain in the Alps. Another mountain, Jungfrau, has the highest train station in Europe. Switzerland’s excellent trains will easily take you all around the country.

The city of Geneva is a seat of the United Nations. People call it “the capital of peace.” Zürich, Switzerland’s largest city, has over 50 museums. One of these is the Kunsthaus Zürich, a famous art museum. You can see lots of art pieces from the Middle Ages to modern times there.
