Warm-up Question: What do you know about Easter?
Easter is coming soon. Swiss people like to decorate Easter eggs and hold Easter egg hunts. However, there are some special Swiss Easter traditions, too!
Swiss people like to take part in an egg smash. The idea is to smash the other person’s egg without breaking your own. They also set up Easter trees. These are tree branches with eggs on them. At Swiss Easter parades, people play music on the chlefeli.
One special Swiss Easter treat is the chocolate rabbit. These come in many different sizes. Osterfladen are Easter tarts with jam inside, and osterchüechli are small Easter cakes. Switzerland is a great place to visit for Easter or any time of year!
