Warm-up Question: What kinds of things do you practice to get better at doing?

Finally,Jane told the jester about her wish. He understood and brought Jane a box with a small suit of armor inside. “I also dreamed of being a knight, but I wasn’t brave enough,” he said. He gave her his armor as a gift. After that, Jane practiced being a knight. She learned to use a sword and ride a horse.

One day, a dragon came and took the Prince! The knights were away at a festival, so they couldn’t help. “Is there no one to save our son?” asked the King and Queen. They were surprised to see a small knight ride a horse after the dragon.

最后，Jane 告诉小丑她的愿望，他表示理解并给了 Jane 一个箱子，里面有一套小盔甲。他说：「我曾经也梦想着能成为一名骑士，但我不够勇敢。」他将他的盔甲当作礼物送给 Jane。自此之后，Jane 努力练习要成为一名骑士，她学会用剑和骑马。

有天，一条龙出现并抓走了王子！但骑士们都因为参加节庆而出城，所以都不能帮忙。国王和王后问道：「难道没有人可以救我们的儿子吗？」他们惊讶地看到一个小骑士骑着马追赶龙。

2. brave (adj.)勇敢的

Sarah climbed the dangerous mountain. She is very brave.

3. dragon (n.)龙

In Chinese culture, dragons are a symbol of power.They don’t exist in the real world,though.

在中华文化中，龙是权力的象征。不过牠们并不存在于真实世界。

4. surprised (adj.)惊讶的；诧异的

Jessica felt surprised because we planned a secret party for her.

Jessica 感到惊讶，因为我们为她计划了一场秘密派对。
