Sitting isn’t something we do as a duty or an obligation. Instead it can be part of our daily nourishment, like eating. Consider daily sitting meditation to be a kind of spiritual food. When we sit, we produce the energy of mindfulness and a feeling of ease that nourishes our joy. Try to practice sitting meditation regularly. Don’t deprive yourself and the world of this spiritual food. When we can see that our practice is nourishment for ourselves and for the world, it brings us joy and the feeling that we’re useful to life.
