加雷斯·法兰克·贝尔，MBE（英语：Gareth Frank Bale，1989年7月16日－），威尔士足球运动员，司职边峰。现效力美职俱乐部FC洛杉矶，威尔士足球代表队队长。

在他的巅峰时期，贝尔是世界上速度最快的足球运动员之一，在他职业生涯的初期，他是进攻型左后卫或边后卫。后来被皇家马德里引进。

13-14赛季西班牙国王杯决赛上演国家德比，贝尔在第85分钟上演了名场面“弯道超车”将球传给3秒后的自己，成功打进决胜球，助皇马夺得那届国王杯。赛后更有球迷给予“两点之间贝尔最短”的称号。

Interviewor: I've come to the Realmadrid training ground with Gareth Bale. How's life? 

采访者：今天我来到了皇家马德里的训练场，和加雷斯-贝尔一起。近来如何？

Bale: Yeah, good. Thank you. 

贝尔：不错。谢谢。

Interviewor: So obviously you've been at Madrid for quite some years now, you know what has been the most surprising thing about playing for Realmadrid?

采访者：你已经在皇马踢球已经好几年了，这期间最令你惊讶的事情是什么？

Bale: It was surprising. Maybe the expectation every season to be able to win everything. We obviously as players, we want to win everything but yeah, the fans demand a lot and you know, we have to stand up and try and do other.

贝尔：令人惊讶的事应该是，每个赛季球迷都会期望我们拿下所有冠军。我们作为球员当然也想要赢下所有比赛，但球迷的期望总是更高，所以我们也必须为他们尽最大所能。

Interviewor: And our viewers obviously are looking to you know, become a pro. You know, what kind of obstacles or challenges did you have an early teenage years.

采访者：我们的观众肯定都梦想着成为职业球员。在年少时期，你遇到过那些障碍或挑战？

Bale: For me a big problem was growing. I had a problem with my back when I was younger when I was really small, and I kind of grew a lot in a short space of time, which caused a few problems in my back and my muscles and other stuff. So yeah, that was probably the biggest problem for me when I was growing up and took a bit of time to develop, as I suppose, from a boy to kind of a man and yeah, obviously once that change happened the problem settled down and yeah that had not been problems after.

贝尔：我最大的问题是成长。我小时候背部有些问题，我的个子本来很矮，但我在短期内长高了很多，这导致我的背部、肌肉都出现了一些问题。所以，这可能是我成长过程中最大的问题，我从一个男孩成长到一个男人花费了不少时间，当然，等成长期一过，问题就解决了，是的，之后就没有问题了。

Interviewor: You've Of course, you know, seen the elite game, all the twists and turns, you know, is there something you know now about the pro life that you wish you knew in the beginning of your pro career?

采访者：一路走来你应该已经见惯了各种曲折坎坷，有什么关于职业球员生活的道理，你希望在职业生涯起步时就懂？

Bale: There's a lot of things I wish I knew before. But yeah, you obviously don't until you experience them and you have to do these things. So yeah, there's a lot of kind of extra things that come with with being a footballer and then what you know, when you're younger.

贝尔：有很多事情我都希望我以前就知道。但是，你这些事情显然只有经历了之后才能懂得，你必须做这些事情。所以，是的，成为职业球员确实附带了很多年轻时候不知道的东西。

Interviewor: And you know, obviously in the beginning of your pro career, like you know, you were playing as a left wing back almost, but now you have obviously you know, transformed into more of a winger, striker roles, like was, was that up to you or was that something you wanted?

采访者：在职业生涯的初期，你踢的差不多都是边翼位，而现在你逐渐变成了边锋、前锋这样的角色，这是你自己做出的决定吗，自己想要做出改变？

Bale: Or I think I always from when I was younger, I always used to play left midfield and further but obviously when you go into the academy, I kind of just fitted in at left back and yeah, I kind of the managers used to hate me because I was always going forward and never went back so much. So it kind of made sense to kind of push me forward and left midfield and played on the wing more often. And yeah, it kind of just kept developing from there because my defensive side wasn't so great.

贝尔：在我小时候，我一直踢的都是左中场或是更靠前的位置。但进入青训营后，我比较适应左后卫的位置。教练曾对我的有去无回痛恨至极。所以把我的位置提前到左中场，更多的出现在前场边路是蛮有道理的。也就是从那开始我的角色逐渐变成进攻手，因为我的防守真心不咋地。

Interviewor: And is there any kind of like, special piece of advice that you remember maybe getting that has really, you know, given you something extra maybe at the early stage of your career？

采访者：你记不记得职业生涯初期得到的令你收获比较大的一些特殊建议？

Bale: I suppose you have a lot of advice when you're younger, I think of my parents they always told me to, to try hard and everything. I think if you if you don't try hard then you only have yourself to blame but if you try hard, you walk off the pitch or the training ground when you're younger and you don't have any regrets. 

贝尔：年轻的时候，父母总会给你很多建议，他们总会加到我要努力对待所有事情。我认为如果一件事情，你没有尽自己最大努力的话，那失败只能能怪自己，但如果你尽力了，那你可以不带任何遗憾地走下球场或训练场。

Interviewor:  Speed, obviously has always kind of been a big an important part of your game. You know, is it something you have specifically worked on? You know, maybe with a running coach or something aside from the team sessions.

采访者：速度一直都是你比赛中非常重要的一部分。你有特意训练过自己的速度吗？它是你特地找短跑教练或者其他球队训练外练出来的吗？

Bale: Now I'm just just naturally faster. I've never really trained for anything to be honest with you. I just go out on the pitch and just just play football. It comes natural.

贝尔：没有没有，我只是天生神速。说实话，我从没特意练过任何东西。我只是走上场地踢足球，一切都是天生俱来的。

Interviewor:  My last question, you know, do you have a favorite goal you have scored in your career?You've got quite a few good ones.

采访者：我的最后一个问题，你职业生涯中最爱的进球是哪一个？你进了不少神球的。

Bale: Yeah, probably the Champions League final one in in Ukraine. So yeah. Obviously the the biggest stage possible in I suppose in club football and to be able to do that on that stage was was very nice.

贝尔：大概是在乌克拉（基辅）欧冠决赛那脚倒钩吧，欧冠决赛是俱乐部足球的最高舞台，能在那种舞台打进那种球是很棒的。
