蒂姆·库克，1960年11月1日出生于美国阿拉巴马州，现任苹果公司首席执行官，清华大学经济管理学院顾问委员会主席。
1982年毕业于奥本大学工业工程专业。1988年获得杜克大学企业管理硕士学位。1998年年初，库克进入苹果，任副总裁，主管苹果的电脑制造业务。2011年接替乔布斯担任苹果公司CEO。2016年7月1日耐克公司任命蒂姆·库克为首席独立董事 。

14 years ago, Steve stood on this stage and told your predecessors: "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." What was true then it's true now. Don't waste your time living someone else's life. Don't try to emulate the people who came before you to the exclusion of everything else, contorting into a shape that doesn't fit. 

14年前，史蒂夫站在这里对你们的学长学姐说："你们的时间是有限的，不要浪费时间去过别人的生活"。这个道理放到现在也同样适用。不要浪费你的时间过别人的生活，不要为了模仿你的前人而放弃其他可能性，将自己扭曲成不适合的状态。

Graduates, the fact is when your time comes, and it will, you'll never be ready, but you're not supposed to be. Find the hope in the unexpected. Find the courage in the challenge. Find your vision on the solitary road. Don't get distracted. There are too many people who want credit without responsibility, too many who show up for the ribbon cutting with out building anything worth a damn. Be different. Leaves something worthy and always remember that you can't take it with you. You're going to have to pass it on. Thank you very much and congratulations to the class of 2019!

毕业生们，毋庸置疑，属于你们的时刻终将到来。但那时，你们不可能做好了准备，但你们也不需要做好准备。你们要在意外中寻找希望，在挑战中增添勇气，在孤独的道路上发现属于你的风景。不要分心。有太多的人想获得成就却不愿承担责任，太多的人毫无建树却在剪彩时出现。请去做与众不同的人，去做有价值的事，但请永远记住你不能将其私藏，而应将它传承下去。非常感谢大家，祝贺2019届毕业生！
