A "mobile gallery" is a gallery on wheels, generally either a truck or a van, that can be driven to multiple locations and then opened up to the public. In April 2014, the New York Times did a story with the absurd headline "Just Like Taco Trucks, Art Takes to the Road," which, despite perhaps misattributing what sparked interest in this non-brick-and-mortar model, included some insightful interviews with dealers who have found it a good alternative.
