MoneyTalks: Shanghai’s Economic Rebound “经济重启”特辑
It’s been over a week since Shanghai largely returned to normal production and life on the first day of June. The government has promised stimulus measures to try and get the economy moving again.
Yet after the two-month closed-off management to contain the COVID-19 resurgence, is there a way for the city’s economy to make up for all that lost time? Where is the stimulus money targeted, and where will it be most effective? Are there appropriate levels of support for small and medium-sized businesses? How will Chinese consumers react after the economic fallout in this pandemic wave? And with most logistic networks down during the lockdown, how quickly would its global impact be fixed up?
As the city gradually reopens, we are glad to have Qian Jun, the executive dean at the Fanhai International School of Finance at Fudan University, to bring some insights into Shanghai’s economic rebound.
…all support minimum what?
