Tom: Lily, have you run background checks on all the candidates?

Lily: Yes, Tom. Most candidates’ statements in their resumes are true, but one is questionable.

Tom: What’s wrong?

Lily: Candidate Thomas Smith said he graduated from Harvard Business School. We called the school office, but they said there was no such a person.

Tom: I remember this guy. He seems quite impressive. So what’s his account?

Lily: When we called him, he said nothing, except sorry.

Tom: Well, in business, credibility is everything. So we have no choice but to leave him out.

Lily: Yes, sir. Do the other candidates get the job offers?

Tom: Yes. I hope the offer letters are posted today.

Lily: Sure. I’ll have them typed right away.
