David: Are you new here?

Mary: Yes. This is my first day working here. I’m a secretary in the Human Resources Department. My name is Mary.

David: Hi, Mary. My name is David. I work in the Financial Department.

Mary: Nice to meet you, David. To be frank, I’m a little nervous to be here.

David: It’s natural to feel nervous on the first day, but things will get better.

Mary: I have no idea how to be a good secretary.

David: Well, let me tell you some golden off ice rules.

Mary: That’s very nice of you. It’s very important to know about them.

David: You are right. First, smile and be nice to everybody. Second, you should dress formally.

Mary: I won’t dress casually.

David: You should know when to keep your mouth shut and when to talk.

Mary: I see. Thank you very much.
