F1电竞中国冠军赛精彩收官！

2021 Formula 1 Esports series China championship wrapped up over the weekend with Xing Sicheng of TSW team taking home the trophy. Due to corona virus concerns, the last event of the season was held online. Before the final race, Zhou Guanyu, China’s first F1 racer, sent his best wishes to all the players in a recorded video.

F1电竞中国冠军赛2021赛季精彩收官。TSW车队获得本赛季车队总冠军，该队24岁的邢思成荣获车手总冠军的荣誉。考虑到新冠疫情影响，总决赛以线上形式举办。中国首位F1正式车手周冠宇在开赛前与演播室连线互动，祝所有参赛车手发挥出最好的水平。

Xing Sicheng, who secured the year-end championship, in the penultimate【倒数第二的】 race, also expressed his excitement to have won the title of the year and was determined to become the first Chinese to win an international F1 esports title. Xing said his goal is to represent China in the F1 Esports Pro Exhibition next year.

邢思成在倒数第二场比赛中获得了年度总冠军，他对此十分兴奋，表示自己决心成为第一个赢得国际F1电子竞技冠军的中国人。邢思成说，他的目标是代表中国参加明年的F1电竞职业展。

The race track for the event, decided by a lucky draw, was a city circuit【赛车道】 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The 2021 F1 Esports series China championship season consists of 12 rounds on 23 different race tracks. The 2022 event starts next March.

收官战采取抽签形式，最终选定赛道为越南河内街道赛。2021年F1电子竞技中国冠军赛季包括了23个不同赛道的12轮比赛。2022新赛季将于明年3月份启动。

2. EXHIBITION OF MUMMIES OFFERS INSIGHT INTO ANCIENT EGYPT

遇见古埃及，公元1世纪“黄金木乃伊”亮相上海

Eight Egyptian mummies including six golden ones are now on display at the newly opened Meet You Museum in Jing’an District in an exhibition that examines their beliefs in an afterlife. The pieces are on loan from Manchester Museum in the United Kingdom. Reporter Zhang Hong takes a look.

遇见博物馆·上海静安馆昨日（12月28日）正式开馆，“遇见古埃及·黄金木乃伊”展也于当日精彩亮相。展览展出了八具埃及木乃伊，包括六具黄金木乃伊，展品呈现了多元文化社会中埃及人、罗马人和希腊人对来世的期待。所有展品均来自英国曼彻斯特博物馆。

One of the best-preserved golden mummies dates back to the first century AD. This one is of a woman known as Lady Isaious. Back then, it was the Greco-Roman period when Egypt was ruled first by the Greeks, and later by Roman emperors. The mummy offers insight into the elaborate preparations wealthy people made for the afterlife.

其中一具名为伊萨鲁斯的女性木乃伊，作为保存最完好的木乃伊之一，可以追溯到公元一世纪左右，也就是“希腊-罗马”时期，当时古埃及先由希腊人统治，后来由罗马皇帝统治。木乃伊能让人们深入了解富人们为来世所做的精心准备。

The gilded mask of the mummy shows the deceased with a Roman hairstyle and jewelry. But the outer shroud carries scenes of Egyptian gods. It’s a typical mummy from that time and the details present a glimpse into their culture. As it remains in very good condition, it’s a rare piece for archaeologist.

我们可以看到在她闪闪发光的黄金面具之下，藏着的显而易见的罗马元素，比如说波浪形的大卷发以及身上的首饰，身上的裹尸布可以清晰地看到埃及的神。她是那一时期比较有代表性的木乃伊，其细节让我们得以一窥他们的文化。由于她保存的条件非常完整，对于考古学家来说，这是比较罕见的。

As an untarnishable metal, gold was believed to be the substance from which the flesh of the Egyptian gods was made. Adding gold leaf to a mummy mask, coffin or even the skin of the deceased made them better resemble a deity and thus more deserving of joining the other gods in the afterlife. For the tiny minority【少数】 who could afford gold, gilded decoration was essential in their transformation from temporary flesh to divine【神的】 immortality.

作为一种不会锈蚀的金属，黄金被视为神祇躯体的象征。在木乃伊面具、棺材甚至死者的皮肤上添加金叶，可以让他们看起来更像神，从而更有资格在来世加入其他神的行列。对于少数能买得起黄金的人来说，在他们从暂时的肉体到神圣不朽的转变过程中，镀金装饰是不可或缺的。

The exhibition is one stop on a world tour courtesy of the Manchester Museum in the UK. There are very few exhibitions featuring golden mummies in China, so we want to bring the exhibits to Shanghai for people to learn more about ancient Egypt.

我们这次的展览属于英国曼彻斯特博物馆黄金木乃伊世界巡回展览当中的一站。黄金木乃伊展览对于国内来说其实是比较罕见的一种展览，所以我们希望也可以把它带到上海，和上海的观众朋友近距离地去接触，给大家完整地还原埃及的文化。

Other exhibits include two mummies with life-like portraits on a wooden panel, masks, pottery and documents on papyrus.

其他展品包括两个栩栩如生的肖像木乃伊，木乃伊面具、陶器和莎草纸文件。

We want to introduce artifacts from famous museums, both home and abroad, to Shanghai so people can learn about various cultures. We’re planning 8 to 10 exhibitions next year, including Dunhuang art and masterpieces by Raphael and Picasso.

我们想把国内外著名博物馆的知名展品引进到这里，让上海的民众感受更多优秀的艺术文化。在明年，我们现在已经排了差不多有8~10个展览，包括阿拉斐尔、毕加索以及敦煌这一系列的展览。

The exhibition will last until April 20th. Another one featuring impressionist paintings is also open at the museum and will run through March 20th.

木乃伊展览将持续到4月20日。该场馆同期开幕的还有另一场展览“遇见印象派·诺曼底曙光：十九世纪欧洲绘画流变”，它将持续到3月20日。

3. CHINESE EMBASSY:DELTA FLIGHT TURNAROUND NOT DUE TO ENTRY BAN

驻美使馆回应中美航班临时取消原因

The Chinese Embassy in the US today refuted media reports that claimed a Delta Air Lines’ recent midair turnaround and its flight cancellations were due to an entry ban from China. The Embassy stressed that such claims are not true.

针对部分媒体报道，达美航空称近期中美航线取消、返航事件是因中方防疫规定调整所致，中国驻美大使馆发言人回应称，此说法与事实不符。

The embassy said in the statement that a great number of domestic and international flights in the US have been canceled recently due to staff shortages, citing that some crew members refuse to work due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

大使馆表示，近期美国各航空公司人手紧缺问题突出，机组人员拒绝在疫情下出勤的情况时有发生，导致美国国内和国际航班大面积取消，包括飞往中国的航班。

In reference to the passengers who were onboard the Delta Airlines flight that was turned around over Alaska on its way to Shanghai, the embassy said it has been assisting Chinese passengers on board, and is communicating with Delta Air Lines on the specific technical problems and possible solutions that could avoid such incidents in the future.

针对在飞往上海途中在阿拉斯加上空掉头的达美航空公司航班上的中国乘客，中国驻美使领馆正积极向他们提供协助，第一时间向有关航司提出严正交涉并展开沟通，了解具体技术问题并探讨解决方案，避免类似事件再次发生。
