330 – 为去年的今天献上感谢

It has been exactly one year since I started this English learning podcast on Ximalaya. At that time, I didn’t have a big plan in my mind. I just wanted to teach some daily English conversation to those in need. 

To be honest, there had been times when I found myself running out of ideas. My goal was to make English learning more fun, or less boring. I always put myself in the audience’s shoes: If I’m to listen to this podcast, what would I want to learn? What would truly help my spoken English? The last thing I wanted was wasting my audience’s time and wasting my time. I am grateful that I always came up with some new ideas. Although it did take up quite a bit of my time, I must say I actually enjoyed doing these podcasts.

Another concern I had was whether my audience liked my content or not. That’s why I would keep on checking any comment I received. Up to today, I have received more than 9000 thumb up, and 1674 comments. My overall rating is 9.7 out of 10. I am thrilled with these numbers. So, thank you to all those who have listened, especially those who have encouraged me.

I was also able to connect with my audience through Ximalaya or WeChat. Some of them have become my students. I enjoy teaching them English. Nothing beats the joy when my students told me that they liked my lessons. I customize each lesson plan according to their individual needs. I am also thinking of doing group lessons.
