Voluntary vaccinations encouraged
疫苗接种不应该'一刀切'

China has accelerated COVID-19 vaccine rollouts among priority populations, as well as in key regions and cities, said the National Health Commission spokesman Mi Feng at a press conference, demanding resolute rectification of compulsory COVID-19 vaccination in some places. China encourages voluntary COVID-19 vaccinations, and works to ensure all people eligible for vaccination have access to it, said Wu Liangyou, an official with the National Health Commission (NHC). 
国家卫健委发言人米锋近日在发布会上表示，我们目前正在对重点地区、重点人群、重点城市加快推进新冠疫苗接种，但个别地方在接种工作中出现强制要求接种的情况，必须坚决予以纠正。国家卫健委疾控局副局长吴良有表示，我们鼓励群众主动接种，力争实现"应接尽接"。

Some provinces and regions have taken effective measures on the basis of their own situations and have accumulated experiences during the process, but there are also some places making vaccinations rigidly uniform and allowing for no flexibility. In response to such behavior, he said the commission will provide regions with stronger guidance on vaccine distribution. They’ll also guide people to reasonably consider adverse reactions from vaccinations and improve their confidence in domestically manufactured vaccines.

Imagine wearing high-tech body armor that makes you super strong and tireless. Such technology, more specifically called an exoskeleton, sounds like the preserve of the “Iron Man” series of superhero movies. Yet the equipment is increasingly being worn in real life around the world. And one manufacturer - California's SuitX - expects it to go mainstream.

In simple terms, an exoskeleton is an external device that supports, covers and protects its user, giving greater levels of strength and endurance. Sometimes also referred to as "wearable robots", they can be battery-powered and computer-operated, incorporating motors and hydraulics. Or they can be more simple, passive designs that use springs and dampeners. Many of the early applications have been focused on military and medical applications, but in the last several years there's been an explosion of use in a range of cases.

This expansion, which has come with rapid advances in the technology, has seen exoskeletons increasingly used by manufacturing workers. Versions for consumers are also now being developed to help people more easily do everything from DIY, to walking, climbing stairs, and other daily activities.

Does having school at the beach sound like a dream? After a year of remote learning and socially distanced classrooms, one school in the Spanish region of Murcia is doing just that, trying to combine clear air and a new way of teaching. Children at the school are aged from 3 to 12 and remain in their class bubbles. There have been no reported cases of coronavirus so far. "I love going to the beach!” said Antonio Fernandez, aged 9.

Members of a nearby residents association have brought the Roman era to life by dressing up as soldiers, and local fishermen have shown children their nets and explained where their dinner comes from.

It's almost 17 years since pop culture's six most-famous friends were together on a film set, but “The One With the Reunion” was finally shot last week.
