Mars rover completes 100 days on red planet's surface
祝融号驶上火星表面满百天

China's Mars rover Zhurong has spent 100 days exploring the red planet's surface since it first set its wheels on Martian soil on May 22, according to the China National Space Administration  on Monday. The rover is part of China's Tianwen-1 mission that also consists of an orbiter and a lander. The mission was launched on July 23, 2020. As of Monday, Zhurong has traveled 1,064 meters on the surface of Mars, while the orbiter has been in orbit for 403 days. The two are in good condition and functioning properly, according to the CNSA. 
8月30日来自国家航天局的消息，自今年5月22日祝融号火星车首次驶上火星表面，如今其巡火之旅已满100天。祝融号火星车是我国火星探测任务"天问一号"的一部分，"天问一号"探测器由火星车(巡视器)、环绕器和着陆器三部分组成，于2020年7月23日成功发射。截至8月30日，祝融号火星车累计行驶1064米，环绕器在轨运行403天，目前两者均状态良好，运行平稳。

The probes will experience a sun outage in mid-to-late September when the Sun is aligned with Earth and Mars, with the solar radiation interfering with the communication between the probes and ground stations. The orbiter and rover will stop working until the sun outage comes to an end, the space administration said. 
9月中下旬，火星、地球将运行至太阳的两侧，且三者近乎处于一条直线，即出现日凌现象。受太阳电磁辐射干扰的影响，届时"天问一号"无法跟地面建立联系，环绕器和火星车将转入安全模式，停止探测工作，直至日凌结束。

China to reduce examination pressure
义务教育学校大幅压减考试次数

China's Ministry of Education has issued a circular on strengthening the management of school examinations during compulsory education, in a bid to effectively reduce the pressure faced by students. No paper-and-pencil exams should be arranged for first and second graders in primary schools, and final examinations should be organized by schools every semester for other grades, according to a ministry press conference on Monday. Midterm exams can be arranged for junior high students in light of the real terms of different disciplines, the ministry said. 
教育部日前出台关于加强义务教育学校考试管理的通知，以有效减轻学生所面临的压力。教育部有关负责人在8月30日的新闻发布会上表示，小学一二年级不进行纸笔考试，义务教育其他年级由学校每学期组织一次期末考试，初中年级从不同学科的实际出发，可适当安排一次期中考试。

It also asked schools to reasonably control the difficulty of examinations and restrict the scope of examinations to their syllabuses and teaching schedules. Local education authorities should not organize regional or interscholastic exams, and schools and classes should not organize weekly or monthly tests, the notice said. Moreover, the exam results should be divided into four or five grades, without giving specific scores, the notice added. The schools should not use test scores to label students or to determine which class to assign them to or where they should sit in class. Parents and students should be notified of the results in appropriate ways, and the results should not be ranked or published.
学校期末考试命题要合理控制考试难度，不得超越国家课程标准和学校教学进度。各地不得组织区域性或跨校际的考试，学校和班级不得组织周考、月考等其他各类考试。学校期中期末考试实行等级评价，一般分4至5个等级。不得按考试结果给学生调整分班、排座位、"贴标签"。考试结果不排名、不公布，以适当方式告知学生和家长。

Measures to prevent online gaming addiction
防止未成年人沉迷网络游戏 

China's National Press and Publication Administration has released a notice on preventing minors from becoming addicted to online games. Online game providers can only offer one-hour services to minors from 8 pm to 9 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on official holidays, according to the document made public on Monday. It also urged the strict implementation of real-name registration and logins, saying online game providers must not provide any form of game service to users who fail to register and log in using their real identifications. 
国家新闻出版署8月30日下发《关于进一步严格管理 切实防止未成年人沉迷网络游戏的通知》。通知要求，所有网络游戏企业仅可在周五、周六、周日和法定节假日每日20时至21时向未成年人提供1小时服务；严格落实网络游戏用户账号实名注册和登录要求，不得以任何形式向未实名注册和登录的用户提供游戏服务。

Press and publication administrations at all levels have been asked to supervise the implementation of related measures and deal with companies that fail to put measures in place. In 2020, over 10,000 games were checked by the administration, and more than 50 companies were admonished and handled.
各级出版管理部门要加强对防止未成年人沉迷网络游戏有关措施落实情况的监督检查，对未严格落实的网络游戏企业，依法依规严肃处理。2020年国家新闻出版署共检查游戏上万款，约谈处理企业50多家。

US withdrawal from Afghanistan completed
美国宣布完成阿富汗撤军

The US Central Command announced Monday that the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan has completed, ending 20 years of the US-led invasion into the country. 
美军中央司令部司令肯尼思•麦肯齐8月30日宣布，美军已完成从阿富汗撤出的任务，这标志着美军在阿富汗20年军事行动的结束。

"I'm here to announce the completion of our withdrawal from Afghanistan and the end of the mission to evacuate American citizens, third country nationals and vulnerable Afghans," Kenneth McKenzie, commander of US Central Command, announced during a news conference held by the Department of Defense. "The last C-17 lifted off from Hamid Karzai International Airport on Aug 30, this afternoon, at 3:29 pm East Coast time," McKenzie said.
