Two dogs, please
Two Scottish girls had just arrived in the US by boat when one said to the other, "I heard that the people of this country actually eat dogs."

"Odd," her companion replied, "but if we shall live in America, we might as well do as the Americans do."
Nodding seriously, the older girl pointed to a hot dog vendor and they both walked towards it.
"Two dogs, please," said one.
The vendor was very pleased and wrapped two hot dogs. Excited, the girls hurried over to a bench and began to unwrap their 'dogs.'
The older girl was first to open hers, then, stared at it for a moment, leaned over to the other girl and whispered cautiously, "What part did you get?"

来两只狗

两个苏格兰女孩刚刚坐船来到美国，其中一个女孩对另外一个说，“我听说这个国家的人们是吃狗肉的”
“真奇怪”，她的同伴回答道，“不过如果我们也生活在美国，我们可能会做一样的事情啊。”
这位年龄大一点儿的女孩认真地点了点头，指向了一个热狗摊，她们俩一同走了过去。
“两只狗，谢谢。”一位说。
摊贩主很开心，他把两个热狗都包了起来。两位女孩飞快地到一个长凳上坐下，打开了她们的“狗”。
年长的女孩先打开了她的，然后，仔细地凝视了一会，向另外一位女孩靠了过去，小心地耳语道“你拿到哪个部分了？”
知识梳理：

9. V+ing形式做伴随状语

10. wrap v. 包，裹，打包;用…包裹；用…缠绕 unwrap是它的反义词，意为解开，拆封。注意它们的过去式都要双写p再加ed.
11. Excited形容词作状语。
He lay in bed, awake.
He arrived home, hungry and tired.
Strange to say, he did pass his exam after all.
12.the first to do sth. 动词不定式用来作定语来修饰限定前面的序数词。the first,the second,the last,the best,the only thing等常跟不定式作定语。
She is always the first to answer questions.
He would be the last to agree to the plan.
13.stare at凝视，盯着看
It is rude to stare at other people.
I don't want people to stare at me.
