Commuters in Beijing andShanghai can now share QR codes from two APPs on their smartphones as a ticketto ride the subway.

Passengers in Shanghai candownload an APP called METRO that generates a QR code ticket which can be readusing a scanner built into the subway turnstiles. While people in Beijing candownload another APP called Yi Tongxing 亿通行 to ride the subway. Now commuters can useany one of those two APPs to take the metros in either city. Shanghai pilotedQR tickets for public transportation with the Maglev service in 2017, thesystem was expanded to cover the city's entire metro network the followingyear.

今天，京沪地铁二维码互联互通开通仪式在云上举行。今天起，上海市民使用最新版本METRO大都会APP，不仅可乘坐本市轨道交通，还可以刷码畅行北京地铁；同样，北京市民也可使用亿通行APP，刷码乘坐上海城市轨道交通。在支付宝技术支持下，地铁互联互通克服跨区域兼容、结算等难题，市民相当于拥有了一张地铁"通票"。目前，上海地铁二维码已实现与长三角所有城轨以及青岛、兰州等13个省市的互通，总里程占全国所有地铁城市的30%，累计服务约610万人次。
