Yang Jie, the  chief director and producer of “Journey to the west” of 1986 version was gone on April 15 local time due to illness at the age of 88. Zhang Jinlai, the actor of Monkey King, published     mourning article which said it was a loss to Chinese TV drama  industry.

 中国1986年版《西游记》导演、制片人杨洁于当地时间4月15日因病去世，享年88岁。该片“孙悟空”扮演者六小龄童发文悼念称这将是中国电视剧行业的损失。

 《西游记》是中国四大古典名著之一。1986年版《西游记》电视剧被内地观众誉为“最经典版本”。
