这个好消息是3年前我知道了自己被上海大学录取了，当时高考后我很紧张，担心自己考不好，后来在家收到了一份录取通知书，我十分激动，爸妈给了我一个拥抱，这个好消息实在太振奋人心，感觉我自己十多年来的努力终于得到了回报

I am going talk about a time when I got some really good news. It was actually about 3 years ago when I received anacceptance letter(录取通知书) sent to me from Shanghai university. It was sent to me a month after my college entrance exam. As you know, receiving a letter from college means that you are going to be either accepted or rejected. So, it could be good news or bad news.

To me, this was the first step on the road to university so I remember when they sent me the letter. I was pretty nervous because I was afraid I mightget turned down（被拒绝）. I still remember that day very clearly in my mind. My parents sat next to me in the living room and we opened the letter together.

When I opened it and saw the heading of the letter I was sorelieved（如释重负的）because it was a letter of acceptance. I remember my mom and dad gave me a big hug. It was such good news and it was probably the best news I have ever had.

For me, this letter was really important and that is why it was really good news because, like I said earlier, this is what I worked hard my whole teenage life for. This was the moment. Even to this day, I still have the letter in my room to remind me that hard work reallypays off（得到回报）.
