Dinner or supper？
Which one do you say? In the US, both are used for the evening meal. But, in some parts of the world there is a difference. Supper actually means the meal that you eat in the evening, and you'll hear this more in southern parts of the US. On the other hand, dinner means the largest meal of the day. So, technically, you could say you had dinner at noon.
