第一幕

“Matches!
Matches for Christmas!”

“卖火柴！圣诞节必备火柴！”
It's a cold winter night.

这是一个寒冷的冬夜。
A girl is selling matches for Christmas.

一个小女孩在售卖圣诞火柴。

She has no boots.

她脚下没有靴子穿。
She has no mittens.

她手上没有手套戴。
She has no coat for the cold, cold winter.

她连一件御寒的大衣都没有。
No one seems to listen.

人来人往，似乎没人听见她在卖力地售卖。
No one seems to look.

人来人往，似乎没人往她这边多看一眼。
No one seems to care about what she's saying.

似乎没人在意她说了什么。

She looks up.

她抬头看天空。
The stars are shining so bright.

星星闪闪发亮。

She looks around.

她抬眼看四周。
The snow is falling on the ground.

只有雪花静静地飘落。

第二幕

She starts to walk.

她开始在街上走动。
And she finds a house full of happy faces.

就这样，她看见一座房子，里面全是幸福的笑脸。
The mommy is smiling.

妈妈腼腆微笑。
The daddy is laughing.

爸爸爽朗大笑。
And the three little children are singing a song.

他们的三个宝贝正在唱歌。

“Oh, how happy they look!

“哇，他们看上去好开心！”
I wish I had a nice family of my own, too!”

“多么希望我也有自己的幸福家庭啊！”

The match girl feels so cold.

小女孩感到一阵寒意袭来。
And she feels so lonely.

但她更感到孤立无助。

第三幕

The match girl lights one match.

她哆哆嗦嗦，擦亮了一根火柴。
She sees a stove.

她看见一个温暖的火炉。
But the stove soon goes away.

但很快，火炉就消失不见了。
“Stay here with me!” she shouts.

“留下来陪我吧！”她大喊一声。
The match girl lights another match.

小女孩又擦亮了另一根火柴。
She sees a Christmas cake.

她看见了一个圣诞节蛋糕。
But the Christmas cake soon goes away, too.

但是，蛋糕很快也消失不见了。
“Come back!” she cries.

“别走，回来！”她哭着说。

The match girl lights all the matches.

小女孩把所有的火柴都擦亮了。

She sees her grandmother this time.

这次她看到了自己的祖母。

“Grandma! Take me to Mommy!” cries the match girl.

“呜呜……奶奶，带我去找妈妈吧！”小女孩哭着说。
Her grandmother smiles and hugs her tight.

祖母微笑着，把她抱得紧紧的。
“Don't worry,”says her grandmother.

“没事的。”祖母安慰她。
“We will be together from now on.”

“我们从现在开始就会在一起不分开了。”

The match girl holds her grandmother's hand.

小女孩紧紧抓住祖母的手。

And she follows her grandmother.

追随祖母而去了。
