西方国家的汽车普及较早，他们对儿童的出行安全travel safety十分重视，因此儿童安全座椅child safety seat的普及也早于国内。孩童乘车时必须使用儿童安全座椅，各国并因此建立了相应的法律法规。而我国每年都有超过1.85万名0～14岁的儿童死于交通安全事故Traffic accident，死亡率death rate是欧洲的2.5倍，美国的2.6倍。交通事故已经成为14岁以下儿童的第一死因。但是，值得高兴的是，中国不少省市已经对儿童安全座椅的使用发布了法规。
