1) On my way (to) …

a. = heading to | 在去...的路上

例句:

I'm_on my way home.

We're_on our way to check out apartments.


2) Nah

a. 注意:口语中,我们经常把no说成nah。就像yes可以说成yeah,no也有同样的口语化的说法。


3) 说到交通工具,一般更倾向于用动词。

a. 不要说️

- On foot

- By bus/car/bike

b. 要说️

- Walk

- Take a bus/train

- Take the subway

- Drive

- Ride a bike或者bike


4) Way more+形容词的比较级

a. = 比我...多很多

例:

This is way more food than I wanted.

Cars are way more expensive here than in the U.S.


5) Way too + 形容词

a. = 太(形容词)了,(解释)

例:

This is way too expensive.

I'm way too hungry.


6) Rush hour

= 高峰期

a. =真是


8) Stuck in traffic

a. = 堵在路上了

b. stuck = 困在、堵在

例:I'm stuck in a meeting

I'm stuck at the office.

She's stuck at home (生病时)


9) Shouldn't have

a. = 本不应该

b. 连读:shudenuv [ˈʃʊdənə v]
c. 拓展:Should've = 本应该

例:

I should've called you earlier.

He should've listened to you.


10) I told you!

a. = 我就跟你说了!
