1.tend [tend]
v. 趋向；照料
We tend to get cold winters and warm, dry summers in this part of the country. 
在我国这个地区，往往冬季寒冷而夏季温暖干燥。

tendency n. 倾向，趋势

2.incline [ɪn'klaɪn]
v. 倾斜；易于 
n. 倾斜；斜面 
People incline to tiredness in Summer.
夏天人们很容易疲惫。

3.subject [ˈsʌbdʒɪkt]
n. 主题；科目 
adj. 服从的；易患…的；受制于…的 
vt. 使…隶属；使屈从于
Cars are subject to a high domestic tax. 
买汽车要交很高的国内税。
Prices may be subject to alteration. 
价格可能会受变更影响。

n. 趋势，倾向 
There's been a downward/upward trend in sales in the last few years.

adj.有…倾向的，易于…的

Maybe he intends to leave her.

11.intention [ɪn'tenʃ(ə)n]
n. 意图；目的 
The company has every intention of keeping the share price high. 
该公司有将自己的股票保持在高价的意图。
