Over the years, weddings and their associated accoutrements have gotten even more lavish and creative. The latest trend, popping up now in China, is to turn the wedding veil that the bride wears into a magic trick of its own. 

近年来，结婚典礼和婚庆用品已变得越发奢华和具有创意。如今在中国掀起的最新潮流是给新娘戴的头纱"施点魔法"。

Brides are getting their sheer veils "flown" across the room and dropped onto their heads from above, in what appears to be a moment of pure sorcery. It actually all comes down to some ceiling rails and weights. 

轻薄的头纱在室内"飘过"，从上面落在新娘头上，那一刻看起来就像是真正的魔法。实际上，这全靠天花板上的轨道和重力完成。

A video of a flying veil posted to a Facebook page has received over 12 million views and 120,000 shares as of Monday evening. Thousands shared positive reviews about the extravagant veil delivery, calling it "cool" and "beautiful."

截止9日晚，一段发布在脸书页面上有关飞行头纱的视频的点击率已超过1200万次，转发达12万次。数千人分享了对于这种奢华戴纱的正面评价，称这"很棒很美"。

Dutch 'singing road' closed

It was an idea to improve road safety: grooves etched into the asphalt of the road that played a tune when cars drove over them at the correct speed. But residents in the Dutch village of Jelsum said the constant noise was driving them mad. One called it "psychological torture". 
沥青路面上设置凹槽，当汽车以规定时速驶过时便会响起音乐，这个主意原本旨在提高道路安全性。但荷兰耶尔瑟姆村的居民们表示，持续不断的噪音快把他们逼疯了。有位村民将其称为"精神折磨"。

Another said cars were going faster to see if the song played at double speed. After pressure, officials closed the "singing road" on Tuesday, just one day after it had been officially opened.

The year has already seen baby name trends galore, with gender-neutral monikers reigning supreme. And Baby Centre has now earmarked names inspired by Ikea as a potential new trend to sweep Britain. 

今年给宝宝取名的各种趋势花样纷呈，中性名字大行其道。"宝宝中心"日前指出，受宜家家居启发而取的宝宝名或将成为席卷英国的新趋势。

The furniture manufacturer often chooses traditional Scandinavian names for its products with the Billy bookcase, Malm bed and Tarva wooden range among its most popular lines. Writer Lucy BC suggests: "Naming your baby after Ikea furniture might seem ridiculous at first glance, but don't dismiss the idea!" 

这家家具生产商常选择传统斯堪的纳维亚名字给产品命名，最受欢迎的产品有比利书架、马尔姆床和塔尔瓦实木系列等。作者露西•BC建议说，给孩子取宜家家具名第一眼看似有点滑稽，不过不要拒绝这个想法。

She suggests Malm, a name which has been used by Ikea for its bedroom range. She also recommends Ingo, which is the male version to Inga or Inge, as well as Tarva, which also references their solid wood range. However, not all names are completely unusual, with Cilla, Franklin, Tobias and Stefan among the names already more common in the UK.

她向大家推荐Malm(马尔姆)这个名字，马尔姆是宜家的卧室系列。她还向大家推荐了Ingo(英格)，对应的女性名字是Inga或者Inge，还有Tarva(塔尔瓦)，都来自宜家的实木系列。但并非所有的名字都非比寻常，其中Cilla(奇拉)、Franklin(富兰克林)、Tobias(托拜厄斯)和Stefan(斯特凡)在英国已是常见的人名。

Farnese Blue to hit market

The historically important Farnese Blue diamond, which has passed down through European royal families for some 300 years, is to go on sale for the first time next month, auctioneer Sotheby's said. The 6.1 carat, dark gray-blue stone from the Golconda diamond mines of India is expected to fetch between $3.7 million and $5.3 million. 

苏富比拍卖行称，已在欧洲王室传承了约300年、具有重要历史价值的"法尔内塞蓝钻"将于下个月首次拍卖。预计这枚采自印度戈尔康达钻石矿的重6.1克拉深灰蓝色钻石的成交价在370-530万美元不等。

It was first given to Elisabeth Farnese, daughter of the Spanish Duke of Parma, in 1715 when she married Philip V of Spain. It was passed down through more than seven generations and, as their descendants married into other European families, it traveled from Spain to France, Italy and Austria.

"All this time, it was hidden away in a royal jewelry box. Except for close relatives, and of course the family jewelers, no one knew about its existence," Sotheby's said. The stone will appear in Sotheby's Geneva Jewelry sale on May 15.
