2018（小作文）建议+道歉-拜访教授

Dear smith,

    I amparticularly glad to receive your invitation to talk about my paper. Anyway ,today , I am writing for the purpose of apologizing, because I have to cancel myplan.

       Severaldays ago, I planned to visit you, but you know that during the past year, I wasexceedingly busy, since I devoted nearly all my time and energy to preparation forthe national entrance examination for postgraduate studies. Unfortunately , dueto my carelessness ,I did not find that the day for the test is just the date Iwanted to visit you. Thus , I have no choice but to cancel my plan.

       Finally, I sincerely hope that you can forgive me and I will visit you after the examat your earliest convenience.
