【语音小课堂：“旅行”有几种英文表达？】

Journey、Trip、Voyage、Cruise、Tour、Travel、Commute、Expedition包含了各种旅行形式，但是该如何向外国朋友正确表达你是哪一种旅行方式呢？快来解惑吧！

Journey通常指从A地到B地(陆地)上的远距离旅行，亦可以是一种心灵上的旅程。(An act of traveling from one place to another, especially when they are far apart)

We got to know each other during a long railway journey.
我们是在火车长途旅行中偶然结识的朋友。

Trip为名词，通常指短途旅行，或在另一地仅度过一小段时间后即返回的旅行。(An act of traveling from one place to another, and usually back again)

I’m not carrying much with me on this trip.
这次出去旅行我随身带的东西不多。

Voyage为名词，主要指远距离的水上旅行，也可以指空中旅行意思为航海、航空、航行等。(A long journey, especially by ocean or in space)

We should be more cautious on this voyage. 
我们应该在这次航行中格外小心谨慎

Cruise指船上旅行。(A journey by ocean, visiting different places, especially as a vacation.)

If you plan to cruise, how many crew may be aboard?
如果你计划巡航，船上将有多少位水手？

Tour可为动词和名词，通常指类似旅行团的旅游、观光旅行。( A journey made for pleasure during which several different places are visited. )

We tour by car every summer.
每年夏天我们都驾车出外旅行。

Travel可作动词和名词，一般表示从一地到另一地旅行这一总概念，是旅行之意义中含意最广的字，特别用于到远方或长时间的旅行，尤指出国旅行。其复数形式意思为“旅游笔记”、“游记”。(To go from one place to another, especially over a long distance)

Travel is an elevating experience and a source of happiness.
旅行给予我们一种高尚有益的快乐。

Commute可作为动词与名词，有通勤的意思 (这个单字也有减刑的意思！)(The regular trip that a person makes when they travel to work and back home again)

Leaving the car at home and sharing your commute with others can help you reach your gallon goal very quickly.
把汽车在家里和与其他人分享您的通勤，可以帮助您很快达到一加仑的目标。

Expedition为名词，有远征、探险队之意。(An organized journey with a particular purpose, especially to find out about a place that is not well-known)

The expedition started way before sunrise.
太阳出来之前探险队就出发了。
