Book 9 Unit 1

Judy：I am so happy you are back! The photos you sent were as beautiful as postcard pictures. How was life on the farm?
Robert：We worked very hard picking plums in the hot sun，I can finally take a deep breath and relax now that I am back.
Judy: But it must have been nice to breathe the clean, fresh air out in the countryside. Also, the plums you picked were as big as oranges. Were they delicious?
Robert: Yes, they were really juicy and as sweet as candy.

Robert: How was your trip to the beach last weekend? I went to the hot springs. Our whole room was as hot as boiling water！
Judy: The beach was great! We got there before sunrise to see the sun come over the horizon.
Robert: How was the water? I know the water at the hot springs is not as clear as the water at the beach.
Judy: The water was wonderful! When I went swimming, I found this shiny gold coin in the water. It's as old as my grandfather's car. Now I think the beach is as fun as an amusement park!
Robert: Really? OK, we can go together next weekend.
Judy: Sounds like a plan.
