【深入观照】

坐禅有两个方面。第一是停下来并使身体平静。这本身可以是一个巨大的幸福来源。第二是深入观照。在静坐冥想中,你能够平静你的身体和你的思想。你知道没有什么会打扰那种轻松、和平和快乐的状态。但如果你只满足于此,你在转化你的意识深层的工作中就无法走得很远。有些人只是为了忘记生活的复杂和问题而冥想。他们就像是躲在树篱下以逃避潜在猎人的兔子,或者是躲在地窖里避免炸弹的人。

[LOOKING DEEPLY]

Sitting meditation has two aspects. The first is stopping and calming the body. This in itself can be a source of great happiness. The second is looking deeply. In silent meditation, you are able to calm your body and your mind. You know nothing will disturb that state of lightness, peace, and joy. But if you’re content only with this, you won’t be able to go far in the work of transforming the depths of your consciousness. There are people who meditate only to forget the complications and problems of life. They are like rabbits crouching under a hedge to escape a potential hunter or people taking shelter in a cellar to avoid bombs.
